The following video is what is going on with my School District, The Lima City Schools. This short video highlights our Science and Technology Magnet school, our Arts Magnet School, and our High School.  Almost all of the speakers featured in this video are Gifted and Talented students that I had. I am very proud of them, and the teachers who work with our students. I am proud of our School District. It is finally marketing itself as a place where our students succeed and have success inside and outside the classroom.

We also have 5 elementary buildings and a 5th/6th grade middle school and a 7th /8th grade middle school. There is a lot here.

I graduated from this School District. My wife graduated from this school District.  All of my children either have or will graduate from this School District.

Parents have so many choices for their children than there used to be. We now have (I think this is all of the different types):

  • Home schoolers / Unschool Movement
  • Charters
  • Non-profits
  • Parochial
  • Public
  • Private
  • Military Academy
  • Magnet Schools
  • Gifted Academy/STEM/STEAM schools
  • Post Secondary Options
  • Online schools

What is going on with your school? How does your school market itself to potential students? With the many choices of our students to choose the type of school they want it is important for schools to market itself as a valuable alternative.
