USC Shoah Foundation Institute Summer Session

USC Shoah Foundation Institute announces the 2010 Master Teacher Workshop: Teaching with Testimony Dates: Monday, July 26 through Friday, July 30, 2010   

 Location: USC Shoah Foundation Institute, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California Deadline to apply: May, 14, 2010      

Applications are now being accepted.    

This is an all-expense paid program made possible through a grant from the Leichtag Family Foundation. During this five-day interactive workshop, participants will explore the medium of video testimony, receive training on how to search the Institute’s archive and select excerpts of testimony, and develop rationale and techniques to integrate testimony into course curricula. Participants will be expected to develop a classroom project to pilot during the school year, and also share it with their schools, communities and/or through their affiliation with professional organizations, for which they will receive a stipend.

 Apply if you are a practicing middle or high school teacher in the United States in subjects including history, English/language arts, Holocaust and genocide studies, psychology, sociology, civics, and media literacy.
